Winter treats

So I have long thought there was a conspiracy afoot to keep my fluffiness on my frame. First thing you should know is that I am horribly weak and have no will power what-so-ever. So in my mind, I am planning out all the healthy things I should eat, but I have an implementation issue. Take today for instance. Because there are a few flakes of snow, church has been cancelled. You know, the place where a very large carrot cake was supposed to be eaten? The carrot cake is now festering in my refrigerator and calling to me.

I know I could just turn away from it and go about my business. I think that a stronger person could. Unfortunately, I'm sure the lure of carrotty sweetness and cream cheese frosting will prove to be too strong.

I think I will have to armor myself against this sweet devil by dragging out all my old weight watchers stuff. It will remind me just how fluffy I am. Perhaps it will give me a fighting chance. So once again, I will fight the temptation and hope to win until the next battle.

  1. does it have raisins and nuts and crap like that in it or is it just good regular homemade carrot cake with lots of cream cheese frosting??? I want some if it is the 'good' kind....will there be any left tomorrow?

    Let's form a club for weaklings. :)

  2. Unfortunately, the carrot cake won this round. I will have to try harder next time. I did spend 40 minutes doing strengthening exercises and joggin on the wii tonight. Perhaps that will offset it some.

  3. I'm right there with you, Rona! I have the will power not to buy stuff, but when something does make it in the house (or I breakdown and bake), I can't restrain myself.

If it makes you feel better, I ate more than 1/2 of a oreo cheesecake between dinner on Sunday and dinner and Monday! I would have eaten the rest if I hadn't served it to my inlaws...
